Car rental deposits and payments

Understand every payment before booking.

The booking advance and refundable security deposit are separate payments. Account for both when comparing offers.

What to check

Read the car terms for the deposit amount, payment method, refund timing, settlement currency and balance payment options. Crypto payment in Kyrgyzstan is not confirmed.

Separate the payments

Budget for three items: the booking advance, rental balance at pickup and refundable security deposit. Check the recipient of each payment against your voucher and agreement.

Cash or card

Confirm currency, permitted card type, cardholder name and deposit refund method. Do not assume cash or another person’s card is accepted without confirmation.

Cancellations and deductions

Read cancellation and amendment terms before payment. Ask which deposit deductions are possible, how costs are documented and when the deposit is refunded.
